Referring Agencies
Would you like to become a Referring Agency to our COACH Family Mentoring Program?
Mosaic Life Care deeply values collaboration with established, professional social welfare and community service providers. Mentoring programs like ours alone are not a panacea, however we understand that they can be helpful and effective.
Individuals receiving acute crisis or intensive case management support are not good candidates for the COACH Family Mentoring program.
Our mentoring program targets participants at the early and preventive family intervention stages. Referred participants must be stable and demonstrate motivation for change.
A COACH mentor could be ideal in supporting individuals and families graduating or exiting other intensive programs.
We encourage you to consider Mosaic Life Care as a resource to mobilise and to extend your established programs.
We invest significantly in our mentors’ abilities. This includes training, background checks, ongoing supervision, insurance, information systems and policies.
Our mentors understand that using the COACH Family mentoring program as a ‘cover’ for religious proselytising and distributing religious literature is strictly prohibited.
Our Mentor Capabilities:
They are excellent communicators and skilled at handling difficult conversations.
They demonstrate the capacity and commitment to adhere to the boundaries of the role (such as not having mentees visits in their own homes or connecting over social media).
They have the capacity and commitment to engage people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., sexual orientation, race, faith or gender identity) in a non-judgmental and respectful manner.
They are committed to promoting the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults. We supply training and resources to help our mentors understand their obligations, and ongoing supervision to ensure compliance.
